Birders will enjoy different habitats.
Innkeeper, Bill fills 10 bird feeders and 4 hummingbird
feeders daily. If you enjoy birding, this is a place you
will want to be. Just a small sample of the species you
will see are: goldfinch, tanager, hummingbird, bluebird,
titmouse, and finch.
Your hosts will gladly
provide some guided walks for you on site and nearby. Bill
is the tennis pro at the Waynesboro Country Club and can
give lessons at a 20% discount on a nearby court.
The Appalachian Trail,
Crabtree Falls, Walton's Mountain Museum, Wintergreen
Resort and James River State Park are all within a 30
minute drive. Several local wineries are nearby, as
well as the Oak Ridge Estate.
